When the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducee , they gathered together, and one of them [a scholar of the law] tested him by asking, “Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?” He said to him, “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Clean Monday PRESIDENTS DAY You shall not curse the deaf, or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but you shall fear your God. Isaiah, Chapter 41, verse 13-14 13 For I am the LORD, your God, who grasp your right hand; it is I who say to you, do not fear , I will help you. 14 Do not fear , you worm Jacob, you maggot Israel; I will help you—oracle of the L ORD ; the Holy One of Israel is your redeemer. I picture Christ, the Holy One of Israel, saying this to Peter at the Sea of Galilee as He pulls Peter up after he had walked on the water and feared the waves and began to drown “I am the LORD, your God, who grasp your right hand”. We must not waiver when we feel covered over by the waters of fear for He will help us.   When in fear if we cry out for his help He will grab us by the hand and bring us back in to the boat; which is His church.
