🌸 APRIL 2026
A Month of Rising, Renewal, and Resurrection
April arrives lush and blooming, inviting us to step back onto the trail and out onto the open road. Spring awakens the desire to move — to explore, to reconnect, to breathe deeper. Yet the blessings of mobility come with mixed realities: beautiful vistas and interconnected communities often sit beside pollution, congestion, and noise. April invites us to travel lightly, walk reverently, and let our journeys become prayer.
✝️ Overview of April
Our Lenten pilgrimage reaches its summit in the first days of April. We follow Christ through the solemn mysteries of Holy Week, stand at the foot of the Cross on Good Friday, and behold the radiant dawn of Easter on April 5, 2026.
If we have prayed, fasted, and sacrificed well, we now reap the fruits of a Lent spent in earnest. The remainder of April becomes a long exhale of joy — the Easter Octave, Divine Mercy Sunday, and the first full month of Resurrection light. Even nature joins the celebration as buds and blooms break open across the land.
Throughout the month, our cry continues:
“Christ is risen — Christ is truly risen.”
Divine Mercy Sunday on April 12, 2026 offers a baptismal reset — a chance to begin again with a heart washed clean. Easter is the feast of feasts, the day that anchors all time, the promise that every sorrow will one day be transfigured.
🌱 A Time of New Life
April holds the most solemn and sublime events of human history: the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ — the Paschal Mystery. The Via Crucis leads to the empty tomb; the Lamb who was slain becomes our Light, our High Priest, our Victory.
Mary, the sorrowful Mother of Good Friday, becomes the jubilant Mother of the Regina Caeli.
We, the members of Christ’s Mystical Body, rejoice in the mystery by which we were redeemed.
April is also:
- Autism Awareness Month
- Jazz Appreciation Month
- Garden Month
- Month of the Military Child
🥾 The April 5×5 Resurrection Framework
