Jeremiah, Chapter 1, verse 8:

THE BAPTISM OF THE LORD
Desired Spiritual Fruit: Gratitude for the gift of Faith

In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the
desert of Judea and saying “Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
(Matt. 3:1-2)

Then people from Jerusalem, all of Judea, and all the
region around the Jordan went out to him. They were baptized by
him in the Jordan, confessing their sins. (Matt. 3:5-6)

“I indeed baptize you with water for repentance.” But
he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to
bear.” (Matt. 3:11)

“He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
(Matt. 3:11)

Then Jesus came from Galilee to John, at the Jordan, to
be baptized by him. (Matt. 3:13)

But John would have hindered him, saying, “I need to be
baptized by you, and you come to me?” (Matt. 3:14)
7.
But Jesus, answering, said to him, “Allow it now,
for this is the fitting way for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he
allowed him. (Matt. 3:15)

Jesus, when he was baptized, went up directly from the
water: and behold, the heavens were opened to him. (Matt. 3:16)

He saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and
coming on him. (Matt. 3:16)

voice out of the heavens said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well
pleased.” (Matt. 3:17)
